A filbert is like a flat brush except it comes to a rounded point. Used on its side, a filbert gives a thin line; used flat it produces a broad brush stroke with rounded edges; and by varying the pressure or flicking it across, you can get a tapering mark.
It’s absolutely essential for flower/petal designs and you can easily use this brush to get rounded shapes aswell as angular/sharp shapes.
